Pecan Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
• 1/3 cup sugar (6 tablespoons)
• 2 tspn vanilla
• 2 tspn water
• 2 cups flour

Double Recipe Ingredients

• 2 cup (4 sticks) butter
• 2/3 cup sugar (12 tblspn)
• 4 tspn vanilla
• 4 tspn water
• 4 cups flour

Procedure

1. Cream together: butter, sugar, vanilla, and water
2. Add flour until not sticky
3. Add pecans
4. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit
5. Roll dough into balls about 1 inch or so
6. Flatten out a little and place on ungreased cookie sheet
7. Place sheet on top rack of oven for 20 minutes
8. Turn sheet around after first 10 minutes for even baking
9. Cool on paper towels
10. Optionally press top of warm cookies in sugar and cinnamon mixture
